Let's start with this short film that I finished off yesterday, about a burger - yes, you read that correctly, a burger.  

 

The idea was that I wanted to see how I could give this burger some personality and make a story around it.

 

 

 

I actually use Generative AI, Gen AI for short to concept it all out and experiment to see where it would lead me.  

 

 

I didn't actually plan to make this particular film, I was trying to produce one of those standard ads for burgers, you know, the ones where the burger slides into view, the camera pans around the burger.  

 

What I like about using Gen AI is that it gives me the opportunity to play and let my imagination prompt the AI to do crazy things, things that if I tried to animated them myself would be a huge undertaking, but for the AI, it's a matter of me typing out a prompt.

 

I just kind of went with the flow, a story emerged and then I edited it all together, the edit actually was the longest part of the process.

I have been into three issues of Battle Panda these past few weeks.

 

 

 

So what I am hoping to do is to launch the Kickstarter for issue 4 right after issue 3 is delivered to all the backers.  

 

I am hoping to start fulfilment of issue 3 in the next few weeks.

 

I typically give myself about a 4 week pre-launch window ahead of launching a Kickstarter.  

 

This means if I want to maintain that pattern, I should start the pre-launch process this week.  

 

Instead though, I feel it's more important for me to focus on fulfilling this Kickstarter first.  This gives me closure from one item to move onto the next.

 

Of course life throws its curveballs, and I've been thrown a 20 foot killer robot curveball this past week.  

 

 

It will mean a lot of my time is taken up over the next few weeks dealing with this new challenge that has presented itself.

 

Still, I shall keep forging onwards, perhaps taking things one at a time is the best approach.
