Using the sporting metaphor, 'recovery' is time in the hot/cold tub, sauna, massage, pool, steam room etc.
'Relaxation' is meant to be the state of being calm, comfortable and free from tension or anxiety.
I think though in the modern world the definition has been hijacked to mean binge watching TV, playing video games, and catching up on social media - a toxic combination.
So my recovery involved as much of a screen break as possible. I still had my day job which is fully screen based - but hey, I managed to cut screen time down from 14 hours to 8, which is okay for anyone running an active side hustle while holding down a full time job.
