Battle Panda 2 announcement

Hey , hopefully it's not too late to say happy new year - 'happy new year'.

I wanted to make an exciting announcement about Battle Panda 2.

I'm really thrilled to say that I am teaming up with one of my favourite indie comic writers, Melissa J Massey, to write Battle Panda 2.

Melissa and I have known each other for the past couple of years, having been in many comic creator groups and Masterminds together.

I'm a big fan of her work and I asked her if she'd be up for co-writing the story arc of Battle Panda and issue 2 - she said 'yes'.

Hello from Melissa

Hello all you cool kids! I'm Melissa J Massey, your fine purveyor of fantasy comics and tragic shenanigans!

I'm a comics creator from New Jersey, and the creator of two series: Black Ball, a magical murder mystery in an alternate 1920s; and The Alchemist of Aurillia, an Ottoman Empire fantasy of wizards, witches, and djinn.

I'm very excited to be joining Farhan as a writer on the Battle Panda team, and look forward to bringing you an exciting and heartfelt story, with a lot of laughs along the way.

We've already made great progress

In the weeks that we've been working together, I can see the value she has brought to the project. I knew she had lots of good ideas and her storytelling is right on point.

Fun Fact: Melissa actually read and fed back on issue 1 of Battle Panda and helped shaped issue 1 significantly.

This is the first time either of us have had a writing partner, we're discovering/making up the rules as we go along.

Writing Partner + Editor = OGS

Nicole is also back as editor for issue 2, working with Melissa and Nicole on the writing team is making for an OGS (Outstandingly Good Story).

We're are going to be wrapping on draft 3 of the script this week. I'm really happy with how it has turned out.

As Melissa and Nicole finish up the script, I am going to be shifting my attention to the art team.

Here's a little sneak peak of one of the concepts we're working on.
