I had no idea how much of a different beast launching an issue 2 Kickstarter to an issue 1 Kickstarter would be.
Essentially the biggest learning that I have had from all the people who have done an issue 2 Kickstarter is that it is way better to launch a combined issue 1 + 2 Kickstarter.
What that means is that the reward tiers will have to serve 2 distinct audiences
- backers who have already got issue 1
- backers who are new to the entire series
This past week I've been busy getting the reward tiers right, as they say the devil is in the detail.
Getting these reward tiers right is really crucial for a successful campaign, especially in the current height tension time period we are in.
Suffice to say, I have some truly amazing awards for issue 2.
I'm not bigging myself up here, but Digitopia 2.0 is the best piece of writing I've ever done - my editor, Hass weaved his magic to make it even better.
I'll send you more updates as we close in on a launch date. I'm currently trailing where I wanted to be, but I think the extra effort and time spent on this campaign will make a massive difference, not just to this issue but potentially to issue 3 as well.
