It's coming up to two months since I was last active on social media. I can pretend I chose not to go onto social media so that I could take time away from it to become all zen.
The main reason is that I had to downgrade my phone (as my previous one met with an unfortunate end). The new phone, well, let's say, it's pretty basic.
So no social media for two months - do I miss it?
No, not even slightly.
But I do realise that I have to go onto social media to let people know about my book and new projects that I'm working on - it's kind of a necessary form of outreach.
Before I dive back in, I want to ask you about your attitudes towards social media.
If I listen to every social media guru, they will tell me to be on every social site, all of the time.
I don't want to do that, it's simply not feasible, I'd much rather ask you and find out from my audience what they like.
Take my 60 second social media survey
I'm planning to block some time out to go onto social media, I'd like to know from you
- What are your preferred social media sites
- How you consume content on those sites
- Does social media affect your purchasing decisions
Knowing this will help me plan out which platforms I spend time on and create content that resonates.
Thanks and tell your friends too
I know I always say thank you for your support, it is true this is hard to do on my own, I really appreciate every click, every like, every share and every comment that the content gets.
As always tell your friends about the book and
the blog - recommending your friends sign up is the best way for the audience to grow.
The best place to point your friends is to the sign up page where they'll get a free digital art book of Digitopia 1.0 and get to join the community.
Hope you're enjoying the content, stay safe and we'll speak again next week.
Thanks
Farhan
