Last Day of Kickstarter and GDPR stuff

Hey , so we're coming to the end of the Kickstarter, thanks for sticking with me on this.

It's been a quite a ride - not just been the actual campaign itself, it's been all the prep involved to get this here. I've couldn't have done it without your support.

If you're yet to back you, depending upon when you read this email - you may only have a few hours left to back it.

Mine is probably not the first email you've have about GDPR - I fancy it won't be the last you receive today.

Actually GDPR is really important, we all get bombarded with emails every day, sometime I feel I'm drowning in email - GDPR is a way to protect the end user, which I'm all for.

Essentially for my emails to you, here is how I treat GDPR

I'm here to provide you value and relevancy
I don't want to over email you - I set a frequency of once a week (I aim to send it out Sundays)
I'll only ever email you more than once a week like big events today (i.e the last day of the Kickstarter and GDPR)
You would have signed up in one of 2 ways
- Either Simon or myself asked you and you explicitly gave your consent
- You downloaded the Comic Book Preview - AWeber would have used a double opt-in for this
Essentially you're on this email list because you chose to be
I use AWeber to send my emails with confidence - AWeber is a trusted email provider that is anti-spam and has the highest security settings
I keep your data safe - I do NOT share it with anyone else
You have the absolute right to unsubscribe at any point in time - in fact at the footer of every email is the option to 'unsubscribe' or 'Change Subscriber Options'

In reality I play by the rules of GDPR and have agree with the spirit of GDPR well before it was formally introduced.
