hey, I just posted page 9
Published: Sun, 01/21/18
hope this email finds you well this week.
Page 9 is Live
--------------
I wanted to share with you page 9 of 'Digitopia - The Web Comic'.
Yes the story has twisted in a different direction. I really wanted to write about topics that challenge our perceptions of reality. You know it's strange when I wrote this page, I couldn't have imagined that it'd turn out this well.
I guess this is the magic that collaborating with a talented team brings.
I'm a big believer in surrounding yourself with people who are better than you, in this case, you can really see how well the team has contributed different story telling techniques, art and colour on top of the script to make this page pop.
You can read page 9 here http://www.comic.digitopiafilm.com/index.php/comic/digitopia-page-9/?utm_source=email&utm_medium=textLink
Want to start from the beginning, no problem page 1 is herehttp://www.comic.digitopiafilm.com/index.php/comic/digitopia-page-1/?utm_source=email&utm_medium=textLink
This Week's Blog post
---------------------
We get a lot of readers sending in questions, this week Seb, answers one of those questions.
He has written about the process he uses to create the page, and the special stage between sketching and inking - it's a fascinating insight into the process he uses to create the art - well worth a read.
What's been happening at Digitopia HQ this week?
------------------------------------------------
So this week, we've added a new member to the team - we now have an Animator!
Alex Hopkins has joined the team, as our animation lead.
We are going to create a animated trailer of the comic book.
It will have two aims, one of which will be to help with our Kickstarter campaign (which I'm hoping to launch sometime in Feb exact date to be confirmed) and the other one which we'll launch on YouTube - either way you will be the first person that I email to let know.
'Yeah baby, we're making a comic and a movie!!!'
This week's question
--------------------
Thanks to everyone who wrote back to me last week. I'm going to keep the question related to the page content, in this week's page we explore the question of identity, in particular living a second identity that is a lie.
Relax, I'm not going to ask if you're living a second identity, I'm actually going to ask, under what circumstances would it be okay to live a second identity that is a lie - we see in this page that Silas is doing it to gain something from Yale.
Could you ever conceive of a situation where you would be willing to live a second identity as a lie?
Remember sharing is caring
--------------------------
Okay, please leave a 'Like' on the page (assuming that you do actually like it) and tell others about it too - actually, the best way to grow the readership is by you telling your friends about it.
Have a great week ahead, let's keep the conversation going, the best way is to use the comments section under the comic on the website.
Thanks
Farhan
